Meet Mick Grimshaw and Jane Grylls: The Official Partners of On Island Time.
Jane Grylls and Mick Grimshaw are passionate islanders. Together, they are committed to preserving the island's natural beauty while promoting responsible tourism and community engagement. Jane, a dedicated home economist and passionate foodie, has spent over two decades cooking and empowering people through her expertise in food. After moving to Flinders Island to be with Mick.
They now, with the help of Jo Youl from on island time, manage the Crayshack. Both Jane and Mick embrace a lifestyle that aligns with their values of sustainability, self-sufficiency and living a healthy, fun, and creative lifestyle. Jane and Mick work wonderfully as a team. Mick is an established farmer and ex-cray fisherman who has worked on the land and sea all his life. They produce beautiful Yakkalla lamb and beef and relish the coastal activities of cray and abalone fishing.
Jane and Mick actively collaborate with local people to promote the island's unique lifestyle and produce and with Mick’s knowledge of all the island offers. We are excited to inform everyone that Jane also cooks for the Larder and bake sales at The Flinders Wharf, as well as friends and visitors alike, showing them how to create delicious, simple food using the best local, seasonal ingredients Flinders Island offers.
